Celebrate International Youth Day by making a meaningful impact in the lives of young individuals. Support our Gaza Greenhouse project which empowers youth in Gaza to cultivate their future through sustainable agriculture. Your generous contribution will not only foster skill development and self-reliance among these young minds but also contribute to the broader community's well-being.
Zakat Foundation of America and American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA) collaborated for the Gaza Home Gardens and Food Security Enhancement Program, establishing 32 greenhouses to support food-insecure families in Palestine.
These greenhouses target vulnerable households, including those headed by women, families with young children, and individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses, providing year-round sustenance, income increase by $1,000/year, and specialized farming training while being guided by Palestinian agricultural experts.
Sow Seeds of Change: One Family at a Time
Habiba Mazyed, 70, a widowed mother of four, eagerly anticipates her greenhouse project with daughter Nada and son Tayseer (seen here). With years of agricultural experience, she's excited about year-round crops. Tayseer views it as a family endeavor, expressing gratitude for this support and future plans for irrigation and solar energy.
