| Dear Friend, Ashura, falling on a Friday, holds a special place in our hearts as a day of reflection, remembrance, and increased acts of worship. This day marks the historic events of sacrifice and steadfastness exemplified by Prophet Musa (Moses) and his followers, reminding us of the virtues of compassion and giving. Out of his love for Prophet Musa, our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) fasted on Ashura and encouraged Muslims to also fast a day before or after the 10th with the reward of forgiveness of our sins from the previous year.
