The Google Assistant is making an AI comeback

View this email in your browser ChromeOS 115 is arriving on schedule and full of fun, new updates Hey all, Robby here again.   Remember the Google Assistant?  Remember thinking it was the pinnacle of voice recognition and productivity?  And then do you remember what happened last fall as ChatGPT became part of the cultural zeitgeist and completely changed the way we expect these digital AI models to work? Yeah, me too. At the same time, it really started to feel like the Google Assistant wasn't just far behind what these new large language models can do, but progressively getting worse.  It's been a bit of a shame, really, but I've all but discontinued use of the Google Assistant for most things on a daily basis simply because it's been terrible of late.
