Meet the new pocket-sized Chromebox from Lenovo: The Chromebox Micro
Does anyone remember the ASUS Chromebit? That little guy was released in 2015 and I'm pretty sure we still have one around the office somewhere. (Hey Google, set a reminder to raid the storage room for the ASUS Chromebit!)
Well, compact Chrome OS devices are back! Lenovo didn't make something as small as the Chromebit but they did just launch a new pocket-sized, fanless device that they are calling the Chromebox Micro!
The Chromebox Micro is about the size of a Pixel smartphone and weighs just a pound (~450 grams). It offers a new level of portability and convenience for enterprise customers who want to quickly and easily deploy these devices. Despite its small size, the Chromebox Micro is a fully functional Chrome-OS device with decent specs and plenty of ports for connectivity.
The only Chrome OS-powered device that is smaller than the Chromebox Micro would be the ASUS Chromebit which was launched back in 2015.
The Chrome Cast 249: Let's create a "Best Chromebooks" list together
On this week's episode of The Chrome Cast, we've decided to work through our "Best Chromebooks" list for the end of the year live on the podcast.
There was no planning for this and you can listen as we talk through and create the list that will likely become what we're thinking will be our first-ever "12 Chromebooks of Christmas".
