In Memory of Djibril

Dear friend, During a recent visit to our Mali office to oversee projects, I was greeted by Djibril, a charming little boy with a bright smile. When I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, he expressed a desire to become a doctor to help treat sick children. I was immediately drawn to his compassion and empathy. It is with a heavy heart that I learned of Djibril's passing, and now he makes his way to heaven on a white horse. Djibril, a remarkable child under our Orphan Care program, faced this journey with unwavering courage in the face of high-grade cancer.  Despite our dedicated care and your support, Djibril succumbed to the illness yesterday. His radiant smile and determination to overcome challenges left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Djibril was not just a beneficiary; he was an inspiration.  As we mourn the loss of this extraordinary soul, we express our gratitude for your support, which allowed us to be part of Djibril's life.
